Mali's president says there are 19 hostages killed -

President Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta , said in a speech to the nation that 19 hostages and two attackers were killed yesterday in the hotel Radisson Blu of the capital where jihadists detained 170 people under threat. The figures given by the president are lower than those provided yesterday by the UN.

In his speech on state TV, Keita said that seven wounded were also recorded in the attack perpetrated against the hotel, which was claimed jointly by the North African branch of Al Qaeda and other Islamist group.

Yesterday, sources UN Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and other diplomatic sources spoke of 27 deaths among the hostages and 13 alleged jihadists killed.
